M Media & Design supporting local start-ups

A large part of the work carried out by M Media & Design (mm&d) involves working with start-up companies and providing marketing support for their launch.  Formed in 2005, mm&d have supported hundreds of Teesside-based businesses set-up and start trading.

With a free consultation, mm&d meet with new businesses to discuss ideas and their initial requirements. This can vary considerably, from a sole trader making the decision to go it alone, or a group of partners starting a new business. Often the initial step is creating a brand that will be used across a range of mediums to promote the business. Owain Jenkins, Business Development Manager, mm&d:

We understand starting a new business can be stressful. There are lots of tasks to do before any sales can be made. Over the years we have worked with such a varied range of start-ups we feel we can offer valuable advise to start-ups.

Each business is different and we can create bespoke packages to suit the clients needs.”

mm&d offer a range of start-up business packages which include branding and logo design, website design, business cards and other stationary. Social Media is often a key tool for a start-up business looking to gain profile in the local community and mm&d can also assist with this.

Recently mm&d supported Stockton-based Hartburn Lofts and Extensions with a range of marketing support. Chris Newman, Managing Director, Hartburn Lofts & Extensions;

Making the decision to start my own business was a big step. Whilst I have a wealth of experience in the building trade, marketing was something new to me.

The team at mm&d have been very supportive, helping create a fantastic brand that stands out and also offered new ideas to promote the business. I am receiving lots of enquiries which is down to the literature produced by mm&d.”

Another to benefit from the mm&d’s knowledge of start-up marketing was Great Ayton based Engineering Safety Partnership. Director John Maplesdon made the decision to form his own consultancy business after over 35 years experience in the electrical industry.

I was delighted with what mm&d have provided me with. Early on, they identified that the website domain engineeringsafety.co.uk was available which is a great boost to my new brand.

I didn’t have major requirements for a large-scale website but the design they have provided looks excellent and helps present the business in a professional manner.”

If you have a business idea and require marketing support please contact mm&d and arrange a free consultation.
