Last week saw another very successful mm&d branded event hit the national headlines. A hybrid International Highland Games returned to London for the first time in over 30 years. It saw the top Highland Games athletes from all over the world compete alongside the World's Strongest men in a 2 day event. 1000's of spectators were treated with traditional events such as the caber toss and Whiskey Barrel Carry as well as popular strongmen events like the Atlas Stones and Car Dead Lift.

The line up of Strong men included the majority of TVs household names from the World Strongmen Series. In the end 7 times Russian weightlifting champion Mikhail Koklyaev stole the show by setting world records in a number of events as he went on to take the overall Strongman title. Gregor Edmunds of Scotland added to his 2007 world title by once again becoming the Highland Games champion.

Event organisers London Scottish Football Club, Tesco and Wiseman Dairies are already looking into bringing the games back to London next year. Spokesperson and event co-ordinator Buffy Mair said: ''we were delighted with the way the event went off. The branding and marketing material mm&d produced was superb in terms of giving the event the right identity and appeal, we even had punters asking if they could buy certain aspects of the pitch side branding as souvenirs''. She went on to add ‘'the support element and service from mm&d was perhaps just as valuable. It's the first time we've organised an event on this scale and mm&d were constantly on tap to guide us through many aspects: transport advertising, national press articles, live radio coverage, even getting the BBC weather forecasters to mention the games''.
