The new agreement will see mm&d provide marketing support to the club through matchday promotions as well as the design and print the raceday programme. With 26 home meetings scheduled for 2017 it is an exciting project for mm&d to start working on.
Already working with a number of local sports clubs, and several County Sports Partnerships around the country, mm&d want to share their sports knowledge with the Bears. Owain Jenkins, Business Development Director mm&d;
We want to help promote Speedway in the Teesside area. We are very hands on with the clubs we work with and want our relationship with the Bears to be no different.
Many of the people we spoke to didn’t know where the speedway track was and we want to change that. They have a brilliant facility which is very accessible to the whole of Teesside and it’s just a case of letting people know about it.”
Formally Middlesbrough Bears and based at the old Cleveland Park Stadium, the rebranded Redcar Bears relocated to South Tees Motorsports Park, South Bank Road in 2006. The club compete in the Speedway GB Championship, with teams scattered across the UK. Kevin Keay, Promoter, Redcar Bears.
We are delighted to be working with mm&d. We are trying hard to engage with local businesses for everything we do. We are hoping this will be the start of a long-term relationship with mm&d who are well known for producing high quality artwork and promoting clubs.”
The 2017 season promises to be the most exciting in recent years with a great squad of riders confirmed. With professional marketing to support the team we are very optimistic of a successful year on and off the track.”
