Middlesbrough Recovering Together (MRT) is a council service that works to address drug and alcohol misuse offering prescribing services, psychosocial interventions and recovery support in the Middlesbrough area.

mm&d has been tasked with developing new publicity materials for the service launch event in March and new promotional literature to create brand awareness of the new service post event.

It’s a sad day for the M Media Tank Team, one of our longest serving fishy friends has sadly lost his life. The awful news was broken to all employees of M Media at 9.30am this morning when ‘Perry the Pygmy Corydoras’ was found lifeless behind the tank.

An investigation is being held as to the reasons for the tragedy but early eye-witness accounts from ‘Gary’, a fellow tank mate, suggest that ‘Perry’ was sick of ‘Daves’ (Tank Leader) snoring so he made a leap for it!

All of a sudden, he was gone! – Gary (Perry’s mate)

Naturally it has all been a huge shock for all involved. We have set up a Helpline for any other information that may come forward.

Here at mm&d we are proud to be sponsoring local Team Darlington Mowden Park RFC. As the renowned channel 4 TV series Come Dine With Me spills over into the world of rugby celebrities, M Media are the agency behind the branding. Rugby Legends Jason Leonard OBE, Jeremy Guscott, Robert Jones and Rhys Williams take possession of the kitchens at the Vale of Glamorgan for a celebrity cook-off in aid of Wooden Spoon – The Children’s Charity of rugby. Will Jason Leonard, the former England rugby union prop and flyer Jeremy Guscott score with their spicing or will Wales legend scrum half Robert Jones alongside speed merchant Rhys Williams tame the tandoor to become king of the kitchen? The event will be the venue of a live broadcast by Scrum V and the MC’s for the evening will be John Paul Davies (Sky Sports) and Phil Steele (BBC Wales).

MM&D builds links with the NHS

MM&D has successfully tendered for and won a large contract with NHS Leeds, despite fierce competition from national design agencies. MM&D will develop a range of design concepts and marketing material to support the roll-out of the Project. The project aims to help reduce the adverse effects of substance misuse on the development of young people’s social, education and emotional growth and progress.

The new Project will support young people and families in the Leeds area by addressing individual needs to facilitate the re-integration into the community, school or training programme as appropriate. MM&D will play an integral role in promoting the programme and developing material to engage the target group.

A new Italian Restaurant which has just opened on Yarm High Street, Teesside approached mm&d to help create a brand and logo in keeping with the trendy high street where it sits. We worked very closely with the owner to create a brand and range of Menu’s, signage, loyalty cards and bespoke engraved door signs to set this Italian restaurant aside from the norm!

Rebuilding and rebranding

Wanting to spread the word about domestic abuse, Middlesbrough Council have given M Media the go ahead to start work on rebranding their ” no excuse for domestic abuse” logo and advertisement campaign to try to make people more aware about what some people suffer everyday. The campaign is aimed to help people who have suffered from the acts of domestic abuse.

“Domestic abuse is physical, sexual, psychological and financial violence that takes place within an intimate or family-type relationship and that forms a pattern of coercive and controlling behaviour. Including forced marriage, so-called ‘honour crimes” and include a large range of abusive behaviours, not all of which are in themselves inherently ‘violent’. ”

We were delighted to show Middlesbrough Council our ideas regarding the rebranding of the logo. The advertisement campaign is under construction and is waiting to be approved before it can be rolled out to the general public, in the Middlesbrough area.
